Yes. We brand the App so it has your name and logo. We put it in the App stores under your name so that your patients and potential patients can easily find it and download it for free.
Is it free for my patients to use?
Is this only for Bariatric Surgery?
No. Our apps are perfect for any weight loss program. Your patients can track nutrition, request appointments, track their weight loss, get questions answered, participate in a Fitbit Challenge, create a photo timeline of their success, watch exercise videos, learn about your program, and much more.
How much does it cost?
The App is free in all of the major App stores so that your patients and people considering weight loss surgery can download it for free. We charge you a one time set-up fee and then a monthly fee to keep the App up to date and running smoothly.
What about HIPAA?
Our Apps are HIPAA compliant. The App only shares a user’s name, email, and phone number with your office via encrypted email if the user requests an appointment, RSVP’s to an event or requests further information regarding your services. BariApps has strict policies and procedures that govern our handling of potential PHI.
We proudly use Firehost’s HIPAA compliant servers, perform monthly security audits, and comply with HITECH best practices.
I know nothing about tech, who handles changes to the app, calendar data, etc.?
We do. We’ll get everything set-up the way you want it and then continue to support the App as long as you’re a customer. We teach you how to make simple changes to the App so that you don’t have to call us to edit the calendar, add a new recipe, etc.
Can I send push notifications?
Yes – Push notifications are a great way to remind patients about upcoming events, support group meetings, and let potential patients know about upcoming seminars. Our customers also use this as a great way to send out a weekly motivational message.
You can even set-automatic event reminders so you don’t have to remember to login and send a reminder about the upcoming seminar.
How do I communicate with patients who ask questions from the App?
When a user asks a question or requests an appointment with a surgeon the App sends an encrypted email to you with their question or to the physician’s office asking for an appointment. You can then respond via email or phone and the physician’s office can do the same.
I already have an online support group. Can I use it in my app?
Great, we’ll incorporate it into the App and you’ll have more people using it on a regular basis. If you don’t already have an online support group, we can help you get started.
Where do you get the nutritional information?
We’ve partnered with a robust nutrition database that offers over 8,000 common food items directly from the USDA database and over 14,000 packaged foods.
Do I need to have an online seminar?
Nope. Your in-person seminars are added to the calendar and users can RSVP for them through the App. If you’d like, we can help you create an online seminar that we will incorporate into the App.
I want a feature I don't see listed, can you create it?
Yes. Our apps are custom. Often there is no additional cost for custom features. Occasionally, new features require a significant amount of code that will increase your start-up cost. Not all of our features are listed on the features page. Send us an email and we’ll let you know if we can build your feature.
